Eligibility Criteria for Class 10th Stream 1

Here are the eligibility criteria for the NIOS 10th Class Admission 2024 stream 1

  • You must carry a class 8th certificate from an affiliated Board. A self-certificate is also permissible.
  • You must be 14 years of age by 31st January 2022 to take the Block 1 (April/May) examination.
  • The minimum age should be 14 years by 31st July 2020 for the Block 2 (Aug/Sept) examination.
  • The stream 1 examination is only for the first-time appearing students.

Subjects Offered by NIOS For Stream 1 Class 10th

  • Class 10th candidates can select subjects offered by NIOS. They have to study subjects in the curriculum: any one or two of 15 languages, mathematics, science and technology, economics, business studies, home science, typewriting, word processing, psychology, Indian culture and heritage, accountancy, painting and social studies.
  • Each subject can carry more than one paper. NIOS offers a minimum of five and a maximum of seven subjects.
  • Students can choose between three languages for their medium of instruction.

  • Visit the official NIOS website – sdmis.nios.ac.in to see the homepage
  • Click on the link of the NIOS Admit card 2024
  • Enter your 12-digit enrollment number and select your “Hall Ticket” type
  • Click on “SUBMIT” to generate the NIOS admit card
  • Download it and take a printout

NIOS Class 10 Admission Date - 2024

Students from all regions can appear in the class 10th exam conducted by NIOS. Those who wish to secure admission in NIOS need to fill up the application form before the last date. The NIOS admission 2024 last date for class 10 is 31st January.

The students can only register after the last date with the payment of a late fee. The late fine admissions are available until March 15th.

Frequently Asked Question (FAQs) - NIOS 10th Class Admission 2024 Stream 1

A: Yes, it is valid for all exams. The degree given by NIOS is recognized by the Ministry of Human Resource and Development (MHRD), Government of India. However, NEET has banned it before for two months but it was resumed later.  

A:  ON DEMAND exams are flexible exam options. It let you give exams according to your choice of time. This type of exam is conducted round the year except two months (May & Nov). 

 

A: NIOS management usually takes at least 45 to 60 days to verify a candidate’s admission. It may even take longer due to any administrative reasons. 

A: The stream 1 application is for the first time appearing candidates. Block 1 is the exam that occurs in the month of April and May. Block 2 is the second-time exam taking place in the month of October and November.

A: You can change the exam centre for your NIOS examination before the commencement of practical/theory examinations. You will have to contact the Department of Evaluation, NIOS and explain the cause for the change of NIOS exam centres 2024.
